Compression stocking is worn by ambulatory
patient to help relieve aching, heaviness and leg fatigue,
visible
varicose
veins,
and swelling.
Physicians typically prescribe them to help manage
poor circulation; as a post vein surgery support; to help control
swelling and burn scar formation; and to prevent and treat
post-phlebitic syndrome.
