OHP3
The OHP3 is characterised by the 5-axle design. The profile
of the joint is suited to moderately active users with above-knee
prostheses who require a high degree of safety.
As a provisional prosthesis the joint can initially be set
for relatively inactive patients and then adjusted in line
with the progress made in mobility during rehabilitation.
The joint also protects the prosthesis during small steps,
such as those taken when turning round on the side of the prosthesis,
when walking up and down stairs, and on uneven ground.
The stance phase stability of the joint is determined by the
closing geometry. Control of the swing phase is actively supported
by the high-performance pneumatic mechanism. Flexion
and extension can be adjusted individually to meet the needs
of the user.
The 5-axle construction enables the prosthesis to be assembled
without shortening in order to minimise possible long-term
sequelae such as intervertebral disk problems, knee problems
in the existing leg and in the existing skeletal structures.
The configuration of the geometry also enables the user to
stand safely and comfortably. Similarly, stretching of the
cosmesis when sitting is reduced. Proximal adaptation of the
OHP3 is effected using a pyramid adapter. Infinitely adjustable
offset up to 5 mm in AP/ML.
